The renowned Suzuki methodology is modeled after the way children learn language. All children learn to speak their "mother tongue" by hearing and participating in dialogue from an early age. Parents cheer when they hear their child’s first "da-da" or "ma-ma". Similarly, the Suzuki concept promotes an early start to learning a musical instrument supported with lots of praise and support from the adults in a child’s life. Just as reading, writing, and the use of proper grammar come along later in language development, so the Suzuki method allows music reading, composition, and theory to come along after music students become fluent at playing the instrument.
In Suzuki group violin glasses, students join together with Dr. Minhwa to create a joyous atmosphere of music making where all are having fun and growing not only in their violin skills but in their ability to communicate artistically and musically. Students learn to create a beautiful tone with proper bowing, intonation, and posture. Parents are invited to join.
