Young Musicians (ages 4 – 6)

Our goal is to empower young children with the gift of music and nurture a life long love of music. Young Musicians Make Music is all about engaging in age appropriate musical experiences that will help develop that life long love of music through exploration of voices, movement, and instruments. The longer children stay with their music studies as a child, the greater the probability of that happening!

Young Musicians have fun and are fully engaged as they sing, play, create, explore and move! Improvisation, accompaniment, composition and arranging skills are developed through group playing of Orff instruments. Introduction of numerous parts for students to play in ensemble bring a more developed sense of timing, listening skills and concentration. Participation builds your child’s musical literacy and physical skills.

Student home materials are an integral part of the student's musical experience. Each child will receive 2 beautiful recordings of many of the songs used in the class. One CD comes at the beginning of the academic year, the second CD comes mid-year. They are encouraged to continue their music making and creativity at home by listening to their CD’s.

Classes meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
