West Chester Academy is off Princeton-Glendale Road, just north of Union Center Boulevard in West Chester, OH, easily accessible from I-75 and surrounding vicinities.
The 14,000 square foot building was designed from the ground up to serve our programs, including all the specialties and equipment necessary for each discipline. From grand pianos, digital keyboards, and music instruments in the music studios - to floating marley floors, attached barres, full length mirrors, and built in sound systems in the dance studios, gym, and group music studios- to the Tumbl Trak, pit, bars, beams, air track, and rock wall in the gym, students have the finest space to enhance their studies at West Chester Academy.
With over 55 teachers that have university training and/or years of performance and teaching experience, you can be sure we have the right teacher to meet your needs. Our teachers are dedicated to learning about students’ personal goals in order to help achieve them.
From our babies in The Music Class® to our senior citizens who’ve come to study music for the first time or return to study, our preschool Tippy Toes Dancers and Tumblebear gymnasts to our competitive dancers, our goal is to help each student reach their highest potential regardless of where or when they begin.
Our office staff is well versed in our offerings and are dedicated to helping students find their niche. You may catch them in person at the front desk, by text, phone, or email Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All messages are returned as quickly as possible.
Though our students often stay with us for many years, most instructional lessons and classes are month to month. There is a 30 day withdrawal notice should the student need to discontinue lessons. The final tuition payment is prorated, and there are no further obligations. Please inquire at registration about Dance and Specialty classes that have a withdrawal blockout period prior to upcoming recitals as well as classes that have a particular term commitment.
Recitals and performances are a highlight of West Chester Academy membership. Depending on the course of study, our venues range from in-house to Ryman Hall to cruise ships to many local stages and platforms. Performances are a big part of the learning cycle, and they provide fun opportunities to celebrate milestones and achievements.
Background checks, CPR certification, security cameras, windows in studio doors, open door policies, cleaning and disinfecting are all part of the landscape of West Chester Academy to insure the safety and confidence of students and parents.
Most of our students attend after school, evenings, and Saturdays, however, there are often options for morning and early afternoon classes for homeschoolers, preschoolers, college students, parents, retirees, and working professionals.
We are so confident that our programs can make a positive, lasting impact on students, that we created a reward program that is a win-win-win. Refer a friend, and both you and your friend receive a $25 tuition credit, plus we will make a donation to the Dragonfly Foundation – a local charity that helps young cancer and bone marrow transplant patients in our community and their families find strength and hope.
West Chester Academy offers the Spot TV system which allows parents to download a free app and securely view the group class their child is participating in. With our lobby areas designated as a waiting and organizing space for students throughout the Academy who are waiting for their classes to begin, lobby seating is reserved for students as they arrive and leave. However, we know that for many parents, observing the excitement and learning each week is an important part of the WCA experience for your family! Our investment in the Spot TV system is complimentary to our families so you can enjoy watching your child in action!
