What do you have to offer?

West Chester Academy offers a wide range of programs in the arts. We provide dance classes in multiple styles, music lessons (private and group) for a variety of instruments and voice, gymnastics and aerial silks, as well as acting improv and musical theater classes. Our programs begin with parent-and-tot classes for babies and continue all the way through adults!

When can my child start?

Right away! Enrollment is ongoing, and once you register, your child can begin at their scheduled class or lesson time. Some programs may have limited enrollment windows, but our customer care team will help you find the best fit.

What should my child wear to class?

• Dance: Required attire purchased through our online store.
• Gymnastics: Leotard or tiger fitting play clothes.
• Aerial Silks: Fitted athletic wear (no zippers or jewelry).
• Music & Specialty Classes: Comfortable clothing.

How much does it cost?

Tuition depends on the length and number of classes per week. (See Tution & fees). An annual membership fee is due at enrollment and each anniversary. Additional costs like recital fees, competition fees, or music books are always communicated in advance — no surprises!

Does my child have the same class time each week?

Yes. Classes and lessons meet at the same day and time weekly for consistency. Need a schedule change? Just contact our front desk.

What if we need to withdraw?

We require a 30-day notice for withdrawal from most programs. Some, like competition dance or Music for Young Children, require a full-year commitment. Session-based programs may only withdraw at the end of a session.

Do you offer make-ups?

• Private Music: Missed Lesson Assignments are provided; reschedules available in summer with 24-hour notice.
• Dance/Gymnastics: Membership includes 3–6 reschedules (depending on your membership).
• MYC & Specialty Classes: Homework or occasional make-up opportunities.

• Dance: Winter Progress Performance + June Recital
• Music: December + June Recitals
• Gymnastics & Aerial Silks: Camera Week (3x per year) + June Showcase
• Group Music & Specialty: December + May Showcases

Are there discounts?

Yes! WCA offers multi-class discounts when the same child is enrolled in more than one group class. We also offer discounts on membership fees for families with more than one child enrolled.

How do I register?

Register online, by phone, or at the front desk. Our staff will help you find the right program.

Do you offer intro classes?

Yes, We offer a risk-free intro class in select programs. Contact the front desk to ask about availability.

What ages do you serve?

From babies to adults! We offer parent-and-tot classes all the way through advanced programs for teens and adults.

How do parents stay involved?

Parents are our partners! Arriving on time, helping with practice routines, and encouraging effort all make a big difference. Families can also watch group classes live on Spot TV right from their phone.
